By Raymond Price

Human hair extensions can be defined as products that are made to serve as extensions for human hair. These products are worn by people for several different reasons, including serving as makeup, concealing hair loss on the head, and concealing head injuries among others. As such, they come in a wide variety and cost differently depending on the quality and type. Here are facts regarding Malaysian straight hair extensions.

Basically, these products can be placed into two major categories. The groups are synthetic and natural hair extensions. The other name for natural extensions is Remy hairs since they are made from real human hairs. They have intact cuticles because they are harvested from human donors. Also, the cuticles usually run in one direction which means that they are not easily tangled.

On the contrary, synthetic blended fibers are used to make synthetic products. Like the names suggest, they are manufactured products that lack natural human hairs. The fibers are plastic but are made to be very fine, highly resembling real human hairs. It may be problematic to cite the different from human hairs if one does not look closely.

The price of these products usually varies with the quality and quantity in terms of length and thickness. Remy hairs are the most costly because they also have the highest quality on the market. Being natural and high-quality, they cost up to several hundred dollars for a single bunch. They are better because they have the cuticles preserved and all strands run in the same direction.

Strands in Remy hairs run in one direction, which gives them a soft texture and a silky appearance besides being natural. On the contrary, synthetic products are much cheaper and can be bought cheaply at 50 dollars or even less. It is possible to style them with heat without causing damage because they are weaker. Tangling also happens easily even with proper maintenance. These products are for people who are extra keen about how much they spend on their heads.

While purchasing these products regardless of whether it is synthetic or natural, a person must pick one that matches with the color of their real hair. Also, the product must have the preferred texture. One way of finding out whether the texture is matching or not is to touch and feel it. A product that feels dry is also susceptible to tangling. As such, people are advised to buy products which feel soft.

Products that look too shiny must be avoided. The shininess that is observed on the strands often indicate that a silicone coating that been applied to them. The silicone coat often does not last for too long and once it wears out, the products remain faded and not so appealing to the eye. Quality is highly degraded at this point.

When investing in these products, price should not be much of a concern because cheap products do not bring out the beauty one may be looking for. Lastly, it is important to have the styling done by a professional hairdresser. It is recommendable for the stylist to have a colorist background.
