All Natural Organic Skin Care Solutions

By Sarah Walker

The human skin serves two purposes, protection and adornment and as such it is important that it be kept healthy. So many of today's commercial cosmetics contain questionable and unhealthy ingredients that it can be difficult to find safe topical cosmetic care items. In the search for an all natural organic skin care product, there are some factors that health-conscious shoppers must consider.

The search for safer more natural cosmetics has been inspired by effective and successful publicity campaigns that highlight the harms of conventional cosmetics. One notorious element in conventional cosmetics is parabens, which have been linked to ailments such as cancer. The prevalence of information and communication technology have aided these campaigns in delivering their powerful messages and the end result has been a more conscious customer base. Today's cosmetic consumers are being more discerning in selecting their products as they are now putting their health at the foremost of their thoughts.

Mother Nature has been providing people with health care items from the beginning of time and even though so many commercialized options are available, sometimes the simplicity of nature is really the best solution. This is so because commercialized products sometimes go through so much processing that the effects of the ingredients are lessened and undesirable chemicals are added. Some plants and plant extracts are great for topical health as many people are realizing and rediscovering in recent times.

One popular all natural treatment for skin and general health is Aloe Vera. This plant has been used for many centuries for the purpose of improving internal and external body health. It is taken internally and also used as a topical treatment.

In addition to aloe Vera, people are turning to Castor oil for their alternative skin care. It too is a time honored topical health remedy. Derived from the seed of the Castor plant, this oil helps to remove blemishes through its antiseptic properties. Castor oil is a great moisturizer for the skin and scalp

For many people who have decided to take the natural route to beautiful appearance, Olive Oil has been a staple product. Olive oil is similar to Castor oil and aloe Vera in that it ha been used for centuries to ensure that the body remains healthy on the inside as well as the outside. Because Olive oil is antiseptic in nature, it protects the body against blemishes and pimples.

Honey is a natural and organic option that people use as a topical treatment. It has also been included in many commercial cosmetics. It is an antibacterial bee product that moisturizes and protects the body. Like Olive oil, honey may be used internally and externally safely. As a topical treatment it is best applied as a mask and then removed with warm water. It may be combined with other natural ingredients such as cinnamon or avocado for increased benefits.

People will always be concerned with appearances. It is the appearance of an individual that allows others to form their first impressions of the person. There is no doubt that Mother Nature has provided mankind with all that is needed to maintain a healthy body. These alternative cosmetics are proof that everything man needs to look and feel his best is right there in nature's grocery store.
